The youth soccer landscape is bigger, louder, and more confusing than ever — leagues, clubs, showcases, rankings, academies, tournaments, private trainers, and endless promises of “development.” But somewhere along the way, the actual player can get lost. Arbor Rising was built to change that. We exist for one clear purpose: to develop footballers. Rooted in three foundational pillars — first touch, ball striking, and 1v1 ability — Arbor Rising provides intentional, player-centered training designed around the specific needs of each athlete. We are not a club. We are not here to replace your team, chase league standings, or tell families where they have to play. We are here to fill the gap that too many players fall through: true individual development. While private training often costs $80+ per session and gives every player the same workout, Arbor Rising takes a different approach — simple, focused, incremental development that meets players where they are. Through high-quality training, player education, coach education, and community-based opportunities offered for free or at very low cost, Arbor Rising is helping players grow with purpose, confidence, and direction. We provide all of the below services at NO COST to the players / parents
Training
Players are provided training on a 11 v 11 pitch with full size goals, size 5 balls full inflated and natural grass or turf
Individual Development Plans
Each player is provided an IDP focus on their INDIVIDUAL needs and growth as players
Parent Education
Parents are provided education about the competitive soccer landscape
College Advisory
Players are provided CUSTOM professional college videos with their highlights ORGANIZED and HIGHLIGHTED for college coaches
Growth Mindset
Players are introduced to the concept of a GROWTH MINDSET and how it affects them in / out of training & games.
Player Development App
Players, parents AND coaches (college, high school, club) can track player development in the AR app

Leadership
Arbor Rising is guided by a leadership team that brings together deep soccer experience, nonprofit perspective, operational knowledge, and financial oversight. The organization was founded by Adam Harris, a longtime soccer coach and director with more than 20 years of experience developing players, leading programs, educating coaches, and building player-centered environments across youth, high school, club, and elite academy levels. Adam’s vision for Arbor Rising comes from a simple belief: true player development should be intentional, individualized, accessible, and focused on helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
The Arbor Rising Board of Directors provides governance, accountability, and strategic support for the organization’s mission. Angela Overstreet serves as Board Chair / President and brings valuable nonprofit perspective, leadership, and organizational insight to help ensure Arbor Rising grows with purpose and integrity. Sybil Forsythe serves as Secretary and brings strong soccer administration experience, including knowledge of player registration, financial aid, operations, and club support systems. Aaron Lawyer serves as Treasurer and brings financial leadership and oversight through his professional background in banking, credit, and financial administration with Truxton.
